How We Create Change

The therapy model is just one piece of the puzzle. Research shows that healing is most influenced by the relationship between therapist and client, a sense of safety, and consistent presence. Still, if you're curious, here's how I blend different approaches to support lasting transformation.

Integrative Therapy

I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to meet the complexity of each person I work with. Each model brings a different gift:

  • IFS – Builds internal compassion and connection by exploring and healing protective and wounded parts.
  • DBT – Offers practical skills for emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal resilience.
  • SFBT – Focuses on what’s already working and what’s possible next, especially during overwhelm.
  • Narrative Therapy – Helps reframe internal stories to reclaim identity, meaning, and strength.

Integrated together, these approaches support deep healing across a range of concerns, including:

  • Emotional Dysregulation – Intense, overwhelming, or numbed emotional states
  • Trauma & PTSD – Childhood trauma, relational wounds, spiritual abuse
  • Spiritual Trauma – Navigating faith transitions and recovering autonomy
  • Complicated Grief – Processing layered or disenfranchised losses
  • Shame & Self-Criticism – Shifting from internalized blame to inner safety
  • Relationship Patterns – Repairing boundaries, trust, and intimacy
  • Addiction & Recovery – Supporting holistic, values-based sobriety
  • Anxiety & Stress – Managing chronic worry, panic, or burnout
  • Depression – Addressing meaninglessness, flatness, or disconnection
  • Identity & Self-Worth – Rebuilding a sense of self in safe and liberatory ways
  • Life Transitions – Grieving and growing through change
  • Decision Paralysis – Clarifying choices and strengthening self-trust
  • Family & Systemic Conflict – Untangling inherited patterns and finding your voice
  • Chronic Self-Sabotage – Rewriting cycles of stuckness with compassion
